Hello & welcome! My name is Dylan Deinert, I am both a clinical audiologist and tinnitus sufferer.
Across the last 15 years of clinical practice it has become apparent to me that there isn’t a lot of support for the diagnosis or treatment of tinnitus. Too often, when an Audiologist, General Practitioner, or Ear Nose Throat Specialist identifies you have tinnitus, the next line is “you just need to learn to live with it”, yet provide you with
- no practical strategies on how to do so
- no advice on what to do if you go through an acute phase; and
- no assistance on what you can try to reduce the noises in your ears or head.
As someone who personally has experienced tinnitus since childhood, and gone through acute phases where I could barely sleep or concentrate, some advice and products that can assist would have saved me a lot of angst. Please read my personal story and 3 stage approach to managing tinnitus and the strategies that I have utilised to get my tinnitus under control and gain some TINNITUS RELIEF!
- Sound Enrichment
- Trigger Control
I am constantly trying new things to assist with my tinnitus and my clinical experience has taught me that every person’s tinnitus is unique, and that different approaches work for different people. It also became really apparent that there was not a place where many solutions exist in the one spot. Sure some websites exist, but they seem to be plugging only a single product or strategy and casting aspersions on other valid approaches. I currently practice as a clinical audiologist in private practice, and am constantly evaluating options for tinnitus relief based on research, my personal experience, and client feedback.
I hope that you will be able to benefit from my clinical experience as an audiologist, and personal experience as a tinnitus sufferer and that the products contained within this website are part of the your journey getting Tinnitus Relief. I liken tinnitus to a bees nest humming in the background. Its really important to remove the triggers to get it under control. Otherwise they kick that bee’s nest and they become loud and obnoxious. Please ready my personal story and 3 stage approach personal story for a list of things which may aggravate tinnitus and examples of products which may assist. In my experience I found that after eliminating any medical causes (such as hearing loss or impacted ear wax), that finding solutions to the triggers was essential to getting my tinnitus under control and being successful in keeping it that way for a number of years.
